Happy Monday everyone! I am so excited to bring you guys this Beauty of Pandora Photo Tour post! Pandora: The World of Avatar is the new land of Animal Kingdom that opened last year and guys it is STUNNING. But don’t take my word for it, take a look for yourselves!
One thing that’s amazing about Pandora is how incredibly immersive it is. As soon as you cross the bridge from Discovery Island (the hub of Animal Kingdom), you’re transported into this incredibly lush, colorful, beautiful world.
Something I love about Pandora is how for being home to just two rides-Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey- and just one (and a half) dining locations- Satu’li Canteen and Pongu Pongu (which I call half because it’s just a kiosk window haha), it not only covers a large land area but also truly immerses you in a different world. It feels like there’s so much to do and see and explore even though compared to other lands of Disney parks it has limited options.
Another one of my favorite parts of Pandora is the way the imagineers mixed natural and created plantlife. They interwove both real living plants and flowers with the imagined Pandorian native species to create a truly believable and beautiful landscape.
I’m mostly going to let the pictures do the talking from here on out but seriously, none of these do justice to how awe-inspiring it is standing in this place. It really will take your breath away the first (and second and third and seventh) time, trust me on that!
Another element of Pandora that’s really cool is how it totally transforms at night! After dark the entire land lights up with foreign but beautiful “plantlife” and these incredible walk ways, plus the blacklight will make your outfit glow a bit too! It’s such a great effect that feels true to the film and it really fun.
Okay you know I can’t let you go before I talk about food for a moment and ESPECIALLY not when the food in question is Satu’li Canteen!
From my first bite, Satu’li immediately became my favorite quick service and set a new (and honestly too high) bar. The food is unique, a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y delicious, and feels surprisingly healthy which is such a nice change from normal park food. It’s the kind of meal that’s SO tasty, truly satisfying, but makes you feel energized not sluggish. You can read more of my raving and gushing about this place in my review of it here (although sadly it doesn’t serve breakfast anymore but I’m holding out hope it’ll come back haha!).
That’s all I’ve got for you today guys! Sorry for the picture overload but once you start taking pictures in Pandora it’s a little hard to stop! I’d love to hear your thoughts if you’ve had a chance to visit! Tell me what you loved in the comments! 🙂
